pleasant stay with minor drawbacks

the room was well-designed and the decor was nice. they provided a hair dryer and straightening irons. i especially liked the bright colors of the hotel. the breakfast offered lots of choices, with a plethora of delicious treats. i enjoyed it
i paid extra for a lake view, but it turned out to be more of a roof view. the room was on the second floor with narrow stairs and no elevator. it made carrying my luggage difficult. the walking path to the hotel felt a bit unmaintained and dark at night.

the accommodation featured artistic decorations and provided all bath amenities. a decadent breakfast buffet included continental pastries and coffees. the hotel had a great peaceful garden. the staff was helpful and friendly .
the road outside was a bit noisy. a bin lorry drove up and down emptying bins several times during the night. this unfortunately woke me all through the night.

the hotel was one block from the lake. i could walk everywhere. the hotel had a lovely character and an interesting history.

I really was expecting something more from this place. the 'breakfast' was quite basic. It was like i was back in my student days. also, the room was smaller than the photos suggested, almost like they used a fisheye lens to make it look bigger. it felt a bit cheeky considering the price i paid, honestly
